Matthew Clark has joined Cathedral this week as a Chartered Financial Planner to expand our team of advisers.
In addition to being a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, which represents the highest qualification in his profession, Matthew is also qualified as a Trusts and Estates Practitioner, and holds advanced investment management qualifications.
Matthew, who is a keen advocate of professional financial planning, says: “I am delighted to join Cathedral Financial Management and look forward to developing my career with one of the West Country’s leading firms of Chartered Financial Planners.”
Matthew has more than 10 years’ experience in both institutional investment management and retail financial services, including Reuters, Standard Life, and an independent wealth manager. In 2005 and 2006, Matthew won investment awards at the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year.
Commenting on the appointment, Tim said “We are very pleased to welcome Matthew to Cathedral. His investment experience and high level of technical expertise will be a valuable addition to the team.”

prestigious award was collected by Tim Ames and Emma Ames at the 2008 Citywire conference, held at the Old Billingsgate in the City of London on the 17th
January. Commenting on the firms success Tim said "We are really proud to have won this Award. The South West region has some of the best IFAs in the UK. The
award reflects the hard work and enthusiasm that the team at Cathedral have made
over the past year".

Cathedral Financial Management Ltd have become the first firm of Chartered Financial Planners in Devon. The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is currently awarding
Chartered status to firms of Independent Financial Advisers that meet the new tough criteria. The CII is only expecting a maximum of around 60 firms across the UK to
qualify by the end of 2007.

Martin Lingeman has joined Cathedral Financial Management to run our Sidmouth Office. Martin was the principal of Marlin Advisory Services which was purchased by
Cathedral in August 2004. Martin will be assisted by the current Sidmouth team Jonathan Davies-Shuck and paraplanner Fiona Woods.
