CFM's quiz team were narrowly pipped at the post by the 'home' team in a charity quiz organised by Kitsons solicitors. The two teams finished with exactly the same score which meant a tie break question was required. Kitsons' team correctly guessed the age of Tutankhamun when he died (19 years old).
With a 3rd and a 2nd place in their last two quizzes, CFM are determined to finish on top in the next contest.

May 2010

CFM's staff proved they know about more than just finance when our team finished a very creditable 4th out of 46 teams in Exeter’s ‘Really Big Quiz’. This annual event, organised by accountants Simpkins Edwards, raises thousands of pounds each year for local charities. This year’s beneficiaries are the Lord Mayor’s charity Dream-A-Way.
This latest CFM performance almost matched that of an earlier year when the team finished 3rd out of 50 teams.

Cathedral Financial Management are joint winners of the Citywire New Model Adviser Award in the South West region. Cathedral won the award after a year of change for the business. Tim Ames, director of the Exeter and Devon-based firm, said, 'The biggest development that we made during the year was to move the business from an advisory business to a discretionary business, that's gone especially well. We worked closely with our partners at Seven Investment Management and during what's been a difficult year, that has enabled us to build our client proposition during the year.'
